We had 2 delicious meals at Chickpea Eatery, Hoi An. The mother and sisters running the place are really nice, and the fresh food they serve up is super tasty. The space is really nice as well. It is located off the main road and because of this, it’s got a really quiet & relaxed vibe. There’s outdoor seating and a garden as well.

The Chick’n Rice was great – the flavours were on point and the chick’n was well seasoned and had a great texture and bite.

The Ban Xeo (Vietnamese Pancake) was excellent – the best Ban Xeo we had on our trip in Vietnam. The way to eat this dish was also very exciting and different. They served the pancakes with a side of salad and rice paper roll. We had to roll everything up ourselves in the rice paper roll and then eat it with the amazing peanut butter and soy sauce dip they served.

The Mock Beef sandwich with pesto, tomatoes and cheese was super indulgent. The mock beef patty is made from black beans and mushrooms. It was loaded with cheese. The salad and pickles alongwith the Pesto added a lot of freshness
The Fried spring rolls were also great. They were also supposed to be eaten like the Ban Xeo by wrapping them up in rice paper rolls with the salad.

They had a board where people could leave some message/ feedback. We loved the food here so much, especially the pancakes that R drew a small note for them. They were rather overwhelmed by the gesture and pinned it up on the board right in front of us.

We highly recommend visiting Chickpea Eatery, Hoi An to get a taste of authentic local vegan Vietnamese cuisine.
