The Vegan Table, Bangkok is an upscale restaurant which is famous for its burgers and pizzas. We don’t have any wood fired Vegan pizza options back home, so we were tempted into ordering a pizza.

It was made with a lot of care and just look at it – it looks amazing!

The cheese was very greasy which made the pizza feel very heavy. This is the difference between good and great pizza – great pizza just disappears off the plate and you barely feel it going in. But the greasy cheese meant that we couldn’t actually finish the pizza and we packed it up and took it home for the next morning. The toppings were mainly preserves like sun-dried tomatoes, caramelised onions and olives – they were absolutely delicious but lacked freshness.

We are absolutely nit-picking here! I should repeat that this was still a very good pizza – and the bites with the pesto were really tasty too – but it fell short of being in the league of great pizzas we have now tried around the world.

The Vegan table has another branch in Phuket Town as well.

The net cost of the pizza with service charge and taxes was 439 THB which is Approx 1040 Rs.
